My services include one-hour Myo-manipulative horse massage sessions and Craniosacral therapy. Prices for these begin at $100 per session for Myo massage and $125 for Craniosacral therapy depending upon the length of the session.
Equine Myo-manipulative Functional & Facial Therapy
A Holistic Approach to Equine Movement and Vitality
My practice has evolved from traditional massage into a comprehensive method that combines Equine Myo-manipulative Functional Therapy with Structural Integrative Therapy. By addressing the horse as a communicative whole, I help restore balance from the cellular level to the grandest stride.
The Foundation: Muscles and Movement
Horses are comprised of approximately 205 bones and 700 muscles. Because these muscles control every joint in the body, any localized tightness directly inhibits optimal movement. Myo-manipulative therapy uses hands-on techniques to:
-
- Stimulate Circulation: Mobilize nutrients into the muscles and efficiently remove metabolic waste.
- Optimize Athleticism: Improve range of motion and muscle development while decreasing the risk of injury.
- Reduce Stress: Lower the heart rate and reduce stress hormones, ensuring your horse is as mentally relaxed as they are physically supple.

The Intelligence of the Fascial Matrix
Beyond the muscular system lies the Connective Tissue System—a vital, intelligent network responsible for much more than just structural support. While connective tissue is a broad biological term encompassing structures ranging from red blood cells to internal membranes, my work focuses on the specialized tissues that govern movement and stability: fascia, ligaments, tendons, and the periosteum.

Ideally, this entire system should be loose, lubricated, and glide freely. However, when damaged or stressed, these tissues lose their fluidity, create adhesions (scar tissue), and tighten. Because this system is a continuous, interconnected web, a restriction in one area is never truly isolated; it triggers system-wide communication and a response to the trauma.

How My Approach Benefits Your Horse
By combining Fascial Structural Integrative Therapy with functional massage, I move beyond “spot treatments” to address your horse’s deep fascial matrix. Through this approach, I help:
-
- Treat the Root Cause: Go beyond surface symptoms to identify the “biological why” of movement issues, restoring fluid motion by addressing restrictions at their source within the connective tissue network.
- Support Healing: Encourage the body’s natural maintenance processes through the cellular matrix.
- Restore Balance: Align the body from the inside out, ensuring every internal surface—from bones to joints—can move freely.
- Achieve Lasting Results: Treating the horse as a whole, communicative system to reach deeper, more sustainable improvements in performance and comfort.
My mission is to provide therapy that respects the horse’s interconnected nature, ensuring that every session influences the whole body-wide matrix for a happier, healthier horse.

Understanding Equine Craniosacral Therapy
If you’ve noticed your horse is physically tight or emotionally “off-balance,” Craniosacral Therapy (CST) can be a transformative tool. It is a safe, subtle form of bodywork that works directly with the horse’s central nervous system and the fascia to promote deep, systemic healing.
How It Works
-
- Regulating the Rhythm: Just like a heartbeat, the body has a “craniosacral rhythm” created by the flow of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). This fluid nourishes and detoxifies the brain and spinal cord. CST helps clear blockages in this rhythm, calming the nervous system and allowing the entire body to rebalance.
- Supporting the Fascial “Internet”: Fascia is an intelligent, self-organizing network of connective tissue that surrounds every muscle, tendon, and organ. Think of it as the body’s “internet”—it facilitates communication between all systems. When fascia is strained, it can impact everything from mobility to digestion. CST releases these deep-seated strains to restore fluid movement and internal health.

The Result
A CST session is a quiet, meditative process lasting between 60 and 90 minutes. By applying a precise, light touch to specific areas, I help the horse’s body let go of deep-seated restrictions.
The Goal: A deep “release” that restores proper circulation and nervous system function, leaving your horse feeling calm, balanced, and renewed.
“I often integrate Craniosacral Therapy with Myo-Manipulative techniques to provide a comprehensive approach that addresses both the structural and neurological needs of the horse.”
